Thorough Keyword Research = More Sales

Why Do You Need It?

Thorough keyword research is the foundation for any serious marketer wanting to reach their targeted audience.

You can’t get the desired results from your campaigns unless you undertake thorough keyword research in the first place.

You need to use the results of this keyword research to optimize the content in your web pages, your Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns and so on.

What are Your Options?

There are two options for choosing a keyword research tool.

Free or paid.

Unfortunately most free keyword research tools give you keyword options that are being widely used by less skilled marketers. To get the best results from thorough keyword research you need to find out a lot more in depth information in order to take full advantage and get your website or campaign recognized and ranked higher.

Having a keyword or keyword phrase that gets thousands or even millions of search hits is NOT the answer! You need to be finding those that may have good exposure BUT you absolutely need them to have low competition as well otherwise you will just get lost in the far distant pages of the search engines!

Once you are able to identify high search volume, low competition keywords or phrases and use them properly within the content of your pages you will get the best possible outcome for getting yourself in the higher search engine rankings.

And higher search engine ranking means more targeted organic traffic. And this targeted traffic is searching for exactly what you have to offer!

And targeted traffic equals more sales!

If you are serious about improving your ranking and getting targeted traffic to your website then there is no question that a good keyword research tool is a must in order to keep your site ahead of the competition. And let’s face it, there’s a mountain of competition out there!

No serious online marketer can do without one.

What Are The Benefits?

– The ability to search for high volume, low competition keywords
– The ability to analyze the keywords your competition are using.
– The ability to find “low hanging fruits” that will blow your competition out of the water.
– The ability to use for any niche, marketing campaign or website.

My Recommendation

The only keyword research tool I use. I’ve been online marketing since 2007 concentrating on how to learn online affiliate marketing and I found this tool is by far the most user friendly and accurate keyword research tool I’ve ever used.

What Does It Cost?

There is always a cost to get the best. Professional marketers are spending huge amounts to outdo their competition these days because there is a so much money at stake.

The keyword research tool I personally use is free for the first 30 searches. It gives the marketer a chance to test it out and see the power it possesses to really ramp up their website visibility and ranking.

After the trial searches you have the availability to upgrade for a monthly fee of $19 for the full version which can be cancelled at any time.

  1. Hey Ken

Great post on thorough keyword research and very true what you say about it being an absolute must.

I actually use the same keyword ranking tool as yourself and couldn’t agree more. The information is exactly what I need to get first page rankings with in hours of publishing my posts.

Low competition long tail keywords are the only way to do this, especially if you’re busy starting a new website. Then using those to drive traffic to pillar post/pages will boost the more challenging keyword rankings.

Keep up the awesome work Ken. And for anyone reading this, DON’T miss your 30 FREE keyword searches above… It will change the way you view keyword research all together!!

    1. Thanks for your valued comments Marc. I must admit when I first started my early websites I used all the wrong keywords, and not only that, I over used them in my posts thinking I’d rank better. How wrong I was! Low competition, long tailed keywords is the only way to go. (Along with the right keyword research tool)

  2. Nice article.

I have not purchased Jaaxy yet but used up my 30 free searches. I was highly impressed with the results I got from using this tool.

Some of my highest ranking work on my whole site comes from those free searches I got with Jaaxy! I am definitely going to be buying Jaaxy real soon. I feel I cannot do very high quality keyword research without it.

Thanks for making up my mind for sure to buy Jaaxy soon.

  3. Hi Ken,

I was looking for some tips on searching for the right keywords and came across your website. Getting a good keyword research tool can be hard. Are there other tools other than the one in the link you gave? Is there maybe a completely free tool available?

    1. Hi Vincent. Thanks for your comment. There are a multitude of free keyword tools around but unfortunately they do not go into enough detail in order to find the right low competition keywords and phrases that are needed to provide better ranking.

  4. Hi there
I certainly agree that a keyword searching tool is for sure essential when one has a site and adds content to it. Without it, you risk no one finding your article. It can be frustrating at times as you need to try quite a few keywords to find a good one. But it is time well invested. Finding a keyword that has high traffic but low competition will get you more readers. I personally use the tool in Wealthy Affiliate but have also used Jaaxy and I was satisfied with it.

    1. Hi Emily. You’re so right in your comments. The research is absolutely essential. Otherwise you are just using keywords or phrases that are being used by the majority and therefore gaining no advantage over your competition. Thanks so much for reading my post.
